The language of flowers

My paintings depict flowers. Flowers represent a deep connection to my roots and to my homeland.

In Tuscany, there are many examples of flowers being used as a language — an expressive way to convey emotions and to send wishes of well-being and good health to loved ones.

I grew up in Montepulciano, surrounded by fields of sunflowers, poppies, and the irises in my grandmother's garden. Each flower carries a memory that still breathes, a bright fragment of joy that keeps returning.

In my paintings, flowers become voice, bridge, a quiet offering — a small living piece of my inner world held out to anyone who knows how to look.

A vocabulary of flowers

Each bloom carries an emotional meaning

To guide the reading of my paintings, I created a vocabulary of flowers in which each variety carries its own symbolism. When you choose a painting — or commission one — you're choosing the emotion it carries.

The vases

The flowers carry the feeling — the vase carries the context

The vases in my paintings have their own symbolism. When a flower meets a vase, their meanings combine into a single message.
